I just wanted to say how fortunate we are to have our dog in the care of All Pets. Our black lab had problems with her eyes which Ruth has monitored and in September referred Luna to a top specialist in the UK who operated on her eyes. Ruth was so thorough in testing Luna first, sending off all the tests and photos and then co-ordinating the referral, following up before we went to the UK and checking when we returned. Exemplary! Safe, skilled and caring. It does not get much better than this!
Couldn’t be happier using this vet practice. My little Queenie is so well looked after when going for appointments. All staff are so friendly.

I can’t praise All Pets highly enough. They’ve looked after my cat with such genuine care and attention in both emergency appointments and check ups.
They alway put his wellbeing first.
Every vet has been warm, friendly, and wonderfully pet‑centred. The option to carry out home visits has been invaluable for us. My cat hates car journeys, and having the vets come to the house has completely changed his experience. He is calmer, happier, and far less anxious, and the team handle him with such kindness.
From the front‑of‑house team to the vets and vet nurses, everyone is wonderful. You can feel how genuinely pet‑centred they are the moment you walk in (or when they walk into your home!). I couldn’t ask for a better team to look after him.
This has taken me the best part of four months to write. I lost my best friend and writing this does not make that loss any easier. But after having time to process everything that happened, I feel I need to share our experience.
Our concerns with Allpets did not start with the events surrounding our dog’s death. They had built up over a long period of using the practice. We became increasingly uncomfortable with what felt like a preference for repeated diagnostics and intervention rather than, where appropriate, starting with the simplest and least invasive approach.
For example, one of our dogs suffered from a recurring blocked and infected ear. My recollection is that we were asked to have cultures performed numerous times, probably five or more, despite repeatedly dealing with essentially the same problem. The money was never the issue. We would pay whatever was necessary for our dogs. What concerned us was the constant emphasis on more testing and diagnostics and what felt like a reluctance to try a simpler, more conservative treatment approach.
I completely understand that cultures and diagnostic testing can be necessary and that antibiotics should be used responsibly. My concern is the pattern we experienced over time. We repeatedly felt that further investigation and intervention came before proportionate conservative management.
That concern became impossible for us to ignore when one of our dogs became critically ill and subsequently died following a course of care where we again felt that escalation and advanced investigation were prioritised over allowing sufficient time for stabilisation and observation.
I cannot know for certain whether a different approach would have changed the outcome and I am not going to claim that it definitely would have. What I do know is that losing her has left me having to live with the question of whether things might have been different if we had chosen another practice. That is incredibly difficult to carry when we had already questioned whether this was the right practice for our dogs.
This isn’t about money. It is about judgement, approach and ultimately trust. Looking back at our experience with the practice, and ultimately losing a dog who meant the world to me, that trust has completely gone.
You really couldn’t ask for better care, both for your dogs and for you as their owner.
Ruth, Emily and the whole team are so highly trusted because they take the time to make sure you are included, listened to and that everything is explained clearly. From the incredibly professional team on reception, through the wonderful nurses and right through to the vets, everyone genuinely cares.
They have been there for our fur family through everything, from the excitement of welcoming new arrivals, to those incredibly sad times when it is time to say goodbye and let them cross the Rainbow Bridge.
The care, compassion and support we have received from everyone has been nothing short of above and beyond. They have cared not only for our dogs, but for us too, especially during the difficult moments.
We honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. ❤️🐾
I wouldn’t be without the fantastic team at All Pets. They are the only vets on the island I trust to take BVA elbow and hip X-rays for scoring — no small task!
They take exceptional care of my breeding girl and even put up with her “singing” pre-sedation 😉
The whole process was professional, structured, calm, efficient, compassionate and informative, with excellent aftercare advice. I received a clear quote beforehand, and the final cost came in lower than expected, which was a lovely bonus.
Highly recommend! Zennor would have stayed longer to say thank you for taking care of her so well but she needed to get home for some lunch 🤤 🐕

Knowledgable, experienced, thorough, compassionate, empathetic… the list could go on. My girl walks in wagging her tail, excited to be fussed over by the amazing receptionists, nurses and vets. We feel like part of a family, and my girl has been so well looked after in their care for the past 10 years. From check ups to surgery, their standards are high and their understanding, willingness to go above and beyond (and to think outside the box), leave my girl and I knowing that we couldn’t be in better hands.
